CALL TO ORDER
The Special Council Meeting of August 24, 2009 was convened at 5:30 P.M. by Mayor John
Landwehr.
ROLL CALL
The following Council Members were present:
Present: Carroll, Ferguson, Harvey, Klindt, Koon, Medin, Penfold, Scrivner,
Streumph
Absent: Pope
A quorum was present.
PENDING BILLS
Bill 2009 -57, sponsored by Councilman Koon, entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, PROVIDING FOR THE
LEVY OF CITY TAXES AND ESTABLISHING THE RATE OF TAXATION FOR THE CITY
OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI FOR THE YEAR 2009.
Sponsor Councilman Koon requested Bill 2009 -57 be taken off the Informal Calendar and
put up for vote. After third reading, staff requested that Council raise the levy for Fireman's
Retirement System to $.0961, which is the ceiling amount. Councilman Medin moved to
amend Bill 2009 -57 to increase the levy from $.0953 to $.0961; Councilman Struemph
seconded. All voted in favor to approve amendment.
Bill 2009 -57 was then passed, as amended, by the following roll call vote as Ord. 14573:
Aye: Carroll, Ferguson, Harvey, Klindt, Koon, Medin, Penfold, Scrivner, Struemph
Nay: None
ADJOURNMENT
Motion was made by Councilman Scrivner to adjourn meeting, seconded by Councilman
Penfold, and approved unanimously at 5:45 p.m.
