CALL TO ORDER
The September4, 2009, "Brown Bag" Work Session was convened at 12:00 P.M. by Mayor
John Landwehr.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present:
Present: Ferguson, Harvey, Klindt, Koon, Medin, Penfold, Scrivner
Absent: Carroll, Pope, Struemph
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
BILLS:
2009 -70 (MO River Pedestrian Bridge) - Mayor Landwehr questioned the need to suspend
the rules. Parks and Recreation Director Bill Lockwood said he was recently given new
information about the contract and there should not be a need to suspend the rules.
Assistant to the City Administrator Melva Fast explained that the project may be delayed but
the money designated for the project is still there. Mayor Landwehr requested the design
plans for the pedestrian bridge be sent to the Council.
2009 -71 (Real Estate on Hanley Way) - Mayor Landwehr also questioned the need for rule
suspension on this bill. Staff explained that the seller has already signed the agreement.
Councilman Penfold suggested that if the Council delays finalizing the agreement, Mr.
Wilson may be less able to correct Code violations on his property.
