A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF
MATERIALS, .SUPPLIES AND SERVICES THROUGH AN
INFORMAL BID PROCESS FOR THE WATER MAIN
CONSTRUCTION PROJECT, PROJECT NO. 5-5225,
FY 1999-2000
WHEREAS, the Water Main Construction Project, Project 5-5225 is scheduled for
construction during FY 1999-2000; and
WHEREAS, the project encompasses the installation of new 1~2" water mains,
cross connections, fire hydrants, valves, water services, etc.; and
WHEREAS, portions of said project will be done by local youth working under the
' City's Youth Training Program; and
WHEREAS, portions of the water main lines and water services installation can be
built more economically and expeditiously using an informal bid process to acquire
. needed materials, supplies; and services; and
WHEREAS, Section 6-3.13 of the Lynwood Municipal-Code allows City Council
to authorize said, acquisition through informal bids by a 4/5 vote.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclaim, order, and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That staff is authorized to acquire needed materials, supplies, and
services for the implementation of the Water Main Construction Project, Project 5-5225,
through,an informal bid procedure.
Section 2.; That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 7th day of March.
