RESOLUTION NO. 2000.45
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY ''_
.y °~ OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER ~
-OR HI°S DESIGNEE TO MAKE THE NECESSARY ~ ~.
' ~ - 'FUNDS APPROPRIATION-AND TRANSFER AND f
AUTHORIZING THE INFORMAL BIDDING PROCESS .

FOR THE CITYWIDE~TRAFFIC SAFETY PROJECT

WHEREAS,, .on July 20, 1999, City Council authorized .staff to solicit consulting
engineering services~for the preparation of a citywide traffic safety study for this project; and
- ,
WHEREAS,' said study has .been completed with various recommendations relative; to
improvements to the; existing traffic control devices; pavement markers, crosswalks, etc; and ° ~
• ~ 1.
WHEREAS, said improvements have been estimated to cost $50,000, and available have
been identified; and

WHEREAS, said improvements can be more economically and expeditiously done through
`. an informal bidding;; and _ ;

WHEREAS, `;the Lynwood .Municipal Code, Section 6-3'.13 allows the- informal bidding-
process with a 4/5 vote..- ~ ~ - ~ ;

...NOW, THEREFORE,.be it resolved,by the.Lynwood City Council as follows:

Section 1. The City Council approves'the Citywide School Safety Study recommendations
` and authorizes staff to proceed with implementation of improvements. '
