A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF VARIOUS MATERIALS, AUTHORIZING ITS '~
~~ PURCHASE THROUGH AN INFORMAL BID PROCESS

WHEREAS the Census 2000- hel s our c
,. p ommunity get.financial assistance ,,~
' for roads, hospitals, schools, and;
WHEREAS, the .Census 2000 helps our community plan for child care, ~ r
. education, health services, and recreation; and
~;
WHEREAS, -the Census 2000 Count Committee for Lynwood will assist in ~ {
the Census process to ensure complete enumeration of all residents in the City of ~ i
Lynwood to receive our just share of federal and state funding; and
WHEREAS, the materials needed can be expeditiously completed through
li
an informal bidding process; and
WHEREAS, under Section 6-3.13 of the Lynwood Municipal Code, Council I
can authorize the informal bidding process by a 4/5 vote; and ~ ,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does. hereby
~, find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows: ~ ~ ;

Section 1. That the purchase of the materials and supplies needed for the ~'
Census 2000 outreach is approved for implementation through an informal ;
bidding process. . ' ~ ;

Section 2. That the City Council ratifies revious Cens +'

expenditure for pole banners obtained through informal bid process. .
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
