AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Two Hundred Twenty-Five
Thousand Dollars ($225,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for storm sewer
construction in Minnie Ave. to Greenhaven Storm Sewer Separation (11507) in the Cities of
Jennings and Flordell Hills, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22033
with Aztec Construction Specialties, LLC for storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is One Hundred Fifty-Nine
Thousand One Hundred Sixty-Nine Dollars ($159,169.00) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is Sixty-Five Thousand Eight Hundred Thirty-One
Dollars ($65,831.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars
($225,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for storm sewer
construction in Minnie Ave. to Greenhaven Storm Sewer Separation (11507) in the Cities of
Jennings and Flordell Hills, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions
as have been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22033
with Aztec Construction Specialties, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for storm sewer
construction in Minnie Ave. to Greenhaven Storm Sewer Separation (11507) in the Cities of
Jennings and Flordell Hills, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 21st day of April, 2021.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on June 10, 2021.
