AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Three Hundred Forty Thousand
Dollars ($340,000.00) from the Districtwide Stormwater Fund to be used for channel stabilization
in Stanwood Dr. and Belwood Dr. Storm Sewer and Bank Stabilization (11442) in the City of
Normandy, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21983 with Above and Below
Contracting, LLC for channel stabilization.
WHEREAS, the bid for said channel stabilization is Two Hundred Ninety-Nine
Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty-Four Dollars ($299,864.00) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is Forty Thousand One Hundred Thirty-Six Dollars
($40,136.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($340,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Districtwide Stormwater Fund for channel stabilization in Stanwood
Dr. and Belwood Dr. Storm Sewer and Bank Stabilization (11442) in the City of Normandy,
Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by
the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21983
with Above and Below Contracting, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for channel stabilization
in Stanwood Dr. and Belwood Dr. Storm Sewer and Bank Stabilization (11442) in the City of
Normandy, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 14th day of April, 2021.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on June 10, 2021.
