HomeMy Public PortalAbout095-2000 - Grant - Partnership for a Drug Free Wayne CountyORDINANCE NO. 95-2000 AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM PARTNERSHIP FOR A DRUG FREE WAYNE COUNTY WHEREAS, the Partnership for a Drug Free Wayne County has grant funding available; and WHEREAS, the Richmond Police Department desires to submit a grant application to help fund a trip to space camp for 12 children to help demonstrate the rewards of high education. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows: The Richmond Police Department is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to help fund a trip to space camp for 12 children to help demonstrate the rewards of higher education. The Richmond Police Department is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Eight Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($8,400.00). Said funds, if awarded to the Richmond Police Department, shall be appropriated to help fund a trip to space camp for 12 children to help demonstrate the rewards of higher education.
