A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD .APPROVING THE. AGREEMENT FOR.
REIMBURSEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE CONSOLIDATED
FIRE. PROTECTION DISTRICT OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY
AND THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
WHEREAS, the City Council had approved the Agreement for Services By and
Between the Consolidated Fire Protection District of Los Angeles County .and the City of
Lynwood; and
WHEREAS, the transition .process which takes approximately three (3)
months to complete may involve.the purchase of fire and emergency medical
equipment, purchase of personal protective equipment and uniforms,
repairs/conversions to the City's fire station facilities, training of City personnel, and
personnel medical exams and background investigations; and
WHEREAS, Consolidated Fire Protection District of Los Angeles C_ ount
"District" generally "undertakes the transition process after the approval of the
Agreement by the Board of Supervisors on the annexation; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood desires to expedite consolidation of the City's
Fire Department to the District; and
WHEREAS, the .Agreement for Reimbursement by and between the
Consolidated Fire Protection District of Los Angeles County and the City of Lynwood will
facilitate commencement of the transition process prior to the Board of Supervisor's approval of
the Agreement for Services By and Between the Consolidated Fire Protection District of Los
Angeles County and •the City of;
.NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Agreement For Reimbursement By acid Between the
Consolidated Fire Protection District of Los Angeles County and the City of Lynwood is hereby
approved.
Section 2. That the City Council authorizes the Mayor to execute. the
Agreement for Reimbursement By'and Between the Consolidated Fire Protection District of Los
Angeles County and the City of Lynwood.
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
