RESOLUTION NO. 3/-6
RESOLUTION DENYING VARIANCE REQUEST
FOR THE
REYNOLD SWANSON BARN
WHEREAS, Reynold Swanson is the Owner of real estate which
is described on Exhibit A and attached hereto and made a part
hereof by reference; and
WHEREAS, a barn was constructed on the property fifty-four
(54) feet from the property line, at a time when City Ordinances
required a five hundred (500) foot set -back for barns; and
WHEREAS, no request for Variance was received or approved
by the City Council at the time the barn was constructed; and
WHEREAS, the present animal barn set -back has been reduced
to one hundred fifty (150) feet; and
WHEREAS, Reynold Swanson requests approval, either by
Variance or by determination of valid non -conforming use status,
of the present location of the barn;
NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Resolved by the City Council of the
City of Medina as follows:
1) The request for Variance is denied because the
standards for Variance set forth in the Zoning
Ordinance cannot be met;
