HomeMy Public PortalAbout1981-006Member /U1Z- its adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. 3/-6 RESOLUTION DENYING VARIANCE REQUEST FOR THE REYNOLD SWANSON BARN WHEREAS, Reynold Swanson is the Owner of real estate which is described on Exhibit A and attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference; and WHEREAS, a barn was constructed on the property fifty-four (54) feet from the property line, at a time when City Ordinances required a five hundred (500) foot set -back for barns; and WHEREAS, no request for Variance was received or approved by the City Council at the time the barn was constructed; and WHEREAS, the present animal barn set -back has been reduced to one hundred fifty (150) feet; and WHEREAS, Reynold Swanson requests approval, either by Variance or by determination of valid non -conforming use status, of the present location of the barn; NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Resolved by the City Council of the City of Medina as follows: 1) The request for Variance is denied because the standards for Variance set forth in the Zoning Ordinance cannot be met; 2) The request for status as a valid non -con use is denied because the was unla located at the time of istructio Dated: %� �, /Cfsi MAYOR ATTEST: 214-07/A/4L/ 4e-X-e-) CLERK The motion for the adourtion of the foregoing seconded by member :.W,tre-y- and, upon vote being taken thereon, the f/Qll�o/wing voted in favor thereof/ Grim"S0r'�, 1.4-G7L-.2 re v' A:e /Je J' and the following voted against the same: CY'o 5 bq Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed /and adopted. resolution was duly
