Lawn, Jr., District D Councilor Watertown Town Council Administration Building 149 Main Street Watertown, MA 02472 Phone: 617-972-6470 PROCLAMATION WHEREAS: Our Watertown Crossing Guards possess a deep sense of responsibility to our school children. They remind drivers of the presence of our young pedestrians; they help parents feel more comfortable about their children walking or bicycling to school; and they act as a role model helping children develop the skills necessary to cross streets safely at all times; and, WHEREAS: Robert Conti will retire this month after serving for thirteen years as a crossing guard to the children of the Hosmer School; and, WHEREAS: Bob, during his tenure rarely missed a day of work, having the fortitude to brave the New England elements; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Council of the City known as the Town of Watertown hereby recognize and commend Mr. Robert Conti for his dedication and commitment to the safety and well being of our school children; for his invaluable service and his significant contribution to the community.
