CITY OF MEDINA

RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A SECOND PUBLIC HEARING ON THE MEDINA
MORNINGSIDE IMPROVEMENT
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 78-24 adopted by the
City Council of the City of Medina on July 5, 1978, a report
has been prepared by McCombs -Knutson Associates, Inc., with
reference to the Medina Morningside Improvements, said report hav-
ing been received by the City Council on the 16th day of January,
1979; and
WHEREAS, by resolution of the City Council of the City of
Medina adopted on the 16th day of January, 1979, a public hear-
ing was held on the 20th day of February, 1979, at which the
City Council considered the installation of storm sewer, sani-
tary sewer, water improvement and street restoration in Medina
Morningside, Medina Morningside First, Second and Third Additions,
Hennepin County, said improvements being to property abutting on
Willow Drive, Bobolink Drive, Morningside Drive, Elsinore Circle,
and Maplewood Drive; and
WHEREAS, a resolution ordering the said improvements and
preparation of plans was adopted by the City Council on February
20, 1979; and
WHEREAS, due to the need to negotiate agreements with ad-
joining municipalities, the time required to obtain federal funds,
and the time required in the preparation of plans, more than one
(1) year has elapsed since the ordering of said improvement;
NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Resolved by the City Council of the
City of Medina as follows:
(1) The City Council of the City of Medina will consider
the Medina Morningside Improvements in accordance with
the feasibility report which recommends the installa-
tion of storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water improve-
ment and street restoration. The Council will fur-
ther consider the assessment of benefited property
for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement
pursuant to Minnesota STatutes, Chapter 429, at a
total estimated cost, less the amount anticipated
to be paid by federal funds, of $ 40210 nrO
(2) The City Council of the City of Medina shall hold a
publi hearing on the proposed improvements on the
day of , 1981 in the City
Council chambers at t e City Hall located at
2052 County Road 24, at 8:00 p.m.
(3) The City Clerk is hereby instructed to give mailed
and published notice of such hearing and said improve-
ments as required by law.
