RESOLUTION NO. 08 -4536
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT NO. 07 -4834, WITH
THE SATE OF CALIFORNIA PROVIDING FOR THE STATE'S
RELINQUISHMENT OF A PORTION OF ROUTE 164 (SR 164), ROSEMEAD
BOULEVARD FROM GRAND AVENUE (SOUTH CITY LIMIT) TO CALLITA
STREET (NORTH CITY LIMIT).
THE CITY COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SFCTION 1: FINDINGS
A. The State of California, acting through its Department of Transportation
(Caltrans) and the City have negotiated a transfer of the ownership of that
portion of Route 164 (SR 164), Rosemead Boulevard from Grand Avenue
(south City limit) to Capita Street (north City limit). ( "The relinquished
portion of the State Route 164 ") located within the territorial boundaries of
the City of Temple City, pursuant to the authority contained in California
Streets and Highways Code, Section 73.
B. After the effective date of relinquishment by the State, the City will
assume ownership of State Route 164 (SR 164).
C. The State will pay to the City of Temple City the sum of $386,000 as the
cost of relinquishment for the relinquished State Route 164 (SR 164).
D. The City will waive the State's obligation to provide ninety (90) days prior
notice of State's "Intention to Relinquish" as set forth in section 73 of the
Streets and Highways Code.
SECTION 2: The City Council hereby approves Cooperative Agreement No. 07-
4834 between the State of California and the City of Temple City and authorizes
the Mayor to execute same.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
SECTION 4: That the City Clerk shall record the resolution to the County
Recorder's Office.
SECTION 5: That the City Clerk shall transmit a certified recorded copy to
Caltrans.

regular meeting held on the 18th day of March 2008 by the following vote:
