HomeMy Public PortalAboutEDACM 2017-06-06 ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE MINUTES DATE: Tuesday, June 6, 2017 MEETING: Economic Development Advisory Committee Regular Meeting PLACE: Fraser Town Hall PRESENT Committee: Toni Hallgren, Craig Clark, Mayor Philip Vandernail, Barry Young, Shelly Neibauer (arrived at 9:05am), Sarai Childs, Matt Heberling Staff: Town Manager Jeff Durbin; Town Clerk Antoinette McVeigh, Assistant to the Town Manager Michael Brach, Town Planner Catherine Trotter Others: none 1. Regular Meeting: Roll Call 2. Approval of Agenda: Mayor Vandernail moved and Young seconded the motion to approve the agenda. Motion carried 6-0. 3. Consent Agenda: a) Minutes 2017-05-02 Young moved and Mayor Vandernail seconded the motion to approve the consent agenda. Motion carried 6-0. 4. Discussion: FroDo Development Strategies The committee would like to pursue the development of the back third of the FroDo property as a mixed residential and commercial incubator space. They would like to convey to the Town Board this is a priority. Heberling motioned and Neibauer seconded the motion to focus on the back third of the FroDo property development. Motion carried 6-0, Mayor Vandernail was not in attendance for this motion. 5. Executive Session: Executive Session to discuss the purchase, acquisition, lease, transfer, or sale of real, personal, or other property interest under C.R.S. Section 24-6-402(4)(a). The committee also invited TM Durbin, TC McVeigh, TP Trotter and ATM Brach to attend the executive session. Other Business: Mayor Vandernail informed the committee that the Grand County Tourism Board (GCTB) has put Fraser back on the map. The Town will be able to apply for grant funds from the GCTB. TM Durbin informed the committee the Business Development Specialist position has been filled. He is looking forward to this position working with the EDAC. 5. Adjourn: Neibauer moved, and Young seconded the motion to adjourn. Motion carried: 7-0. Meeting adjourned at 10:55 am. Antoinette McVeigh, Town Clerk
