A RESOLUTION OF THE CI'T'Y COUNCIL OF TI-IE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS FROM THE 2000~200I
FISCAL YEAR DURING THE I999~2004 FISCAL YEAR FOR THE
CONDUCTION OF THE 2000 CELEBRATION OF HISPANIC HERITAGE
1VIONTH/FIESTAS PATRIAS
dVHEREAS, The City of Lynwood desires to conduct a celebration for Hispanic Heritage
Month/Fiestas Patrias. On August 25th, September 9th, and September 23`d - 25th, 2000. ~ .
WHEREAS, funding for the Fiestas Patrias program must be arranged in advance of the
' 2000/2001 fiscal year budget being adopted by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the funding of the entire Hispanic Heritage Month/Fiestas Patrias
.Celebration is $40,000; and . , .
WHEREAS, the funding for this program is included in the operating budget of the City
of Lynwood. on an annual basis.
NOV6V, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,.
.proclaim, order and resolve'as follows:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood authorizes funding in the amount of
$40,000.00 be expended from the 2000/2001 fiscal year budget during the 1999/2000 fiscal year.
Section 2. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to conduct any and all
transactions so ordered by this resolution.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
