" A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
.. CITY OF LYNWOOD REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR THE HAM PARK YOUTH
. CENTER:BUILDING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT; PROJECT NO. 5-5205, FY 1999- .
` 2000; AND AUTHORIZING STAFF TO PURCHASE NEEDED MATERIALS,
SUPPLIES AND SERVICES THROUGH AN INFORMAL,BLD.PROCESS
. FOR THE.HAM PARK YOUTH CENTER-BUILDING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

WHEREAS, the. Ham'Park Youth Center Building Improvement Project, Project
` ~ No.5-5205 is scheduled for construction during FY 1999-2000; -.and ~ : ;
' . WHEREAS, on June 13, 2000, the bid opening ,for the Ham Park Youth .Center
. ~ Building Improvement Project was held in the office of the City Clerk and {7) bids were
received; and = . .
` WHEREAS, alLresponsible bids greatly exceeded the'engineer-.'s estimate; and .
WHEREAS; the project can be built more economically and expeditiously using ~an `
informal :bid process to purchase needed- materials, supplies and services; and .
" ~ WHEREAS, the Lynwood Municipal Code, Section 6-3.13 .allows the. informal
bidding process wth_a 4/5 vote.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Lynwood City Council as follows:
" Section 1: The City Council rejects all bids for the Ham Park .Youth Center
' ~ Building Improvement Project, FY 1999-2000.
f ~, Section 2. The City Council authorizes the informal bidding process for'the
'~ - implementation of said project by a.4/5.vote. <~;: ~ '
:` F Section 3. This resolution shall~take effect immediately upon its adoption. ~~
