" A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD REJECTING THE SOLE:BID OF
• DAMON CONSTRUCTION FOR THE SIDEWALK
RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT, FY 1999-2000, AND
AUTHORIZING THE INFORMAL BIDDING PROCESS
FOR SAID PROJECT •
WHEREAS, the Sidewalk Reconstruction Project is listed in the Capital Improvement
Program for FY 1999-2000, with a budget of $28,084; and
WHEREAS, said .project was .advertised and Damon Construction was the sole bidder at
$41,600; and "
• WHEREAS, because of the lack of competitive bids and the deadline imposed on the "
project, staff feels that=lower bid prices can be obtained and the project can be more expeditiously
completed through an informal bidding process; and
WHEREAS, the. Lynwood Municipal Code, Section 6-3.13 allows the informal bidding
process with a 4/5 vote.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it.resolved by the Lynwood City Council as follows:
Section 1. The City Council rejects the sole bid of Damon Construction for the Sidewalk
Reconstruction Project, FY 1999-2000.
` Section 2. The •City Council authorizes the informal bidding process for~the
implementation of said project by a 4/5 vote.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
