A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD AMENDING RESOLUTION
79-89 TO REVISE THE APPLICATION AND
RENEWAL FEES AND RENEWAL PROCEDURE
RELATIVE TO THE ON-STREET HANDICAP PARKING
REQUEST
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Lynwood adopted Resolution No. 79-89
setting forth the Instructions and Application for Disabled Persons on Street Parking; .and
WHEREAS, the pertinent fees and renewal procedure described in said Instructions are
outdated and therefore need to be revised.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Lynwood City Council as follows:
Section 1. Condition (5) of the Instructions, Exhibit "A", is revised to read
"Applicant must pay an initial fee of $50.00 to cover the cost of field investigation, installation,
maintenance and future removal".
Section 2: Condition (6) of the Instruction, Exhibit "A", is revised to read "Applicant must
pay an annual fee of $25.00, after the first year, to cover the cost of yearly investigation to confirm
the present need for the handicap parking space. Applicant shall also submit copy of a valid
Department of Motor Vehicles' disabled persons license permit and a current medical doctor's
statement".
Section 3. The Lynwood Traffic, Parking and Safety Commission is authorized to waive
the annual renewal fee if the applicant can adequately demonstrate that the renewal fee~::.;presents
a hardship.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
