A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF
A CITY SAFETY FIRST INCENTIVE PROGRAM
WHEREAS; the establishment and implementation of Safety First Incentive
Program will reward employees who practice safe work habits and. strive to reduce w
ork
related injuries and accidents will be beneficial to the City; and
WHEREAS, Safety Programs designed to reward safe work environments can
prove significant in reducing lost time and work related injuries can serve to increase
employee morale; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood's Safety Committee has developed a Safety
First Incentive Program wherein its primary goal is to motivate employees to become
more safety conscious and promote team efforts in preventing injuries and accidents;
- and
WHEREAS, the proposed program will .formally acknowledge and reward
employees who practice safe work habits thereby eliminating injuries and accidents and
reducing costs; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
find; determine, resolve and order as follows:
Section 1. Authorize and adopt the establishment of a City Safety First Incentive .
Program (Exhibit A).
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
