CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO. 81-29
RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
FOR MEDINA MORNINGSIDE IMPROVEMENT
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the City
Council on February 20, 1979, and confirmed pursuant to a
public hearing on May 5, 1981, McCombs/Knutson and
Associates, Inc., consulting engineers, have prepared
plans and specifications for the installation of storm sewer,
sanitary sewer, water improvement and street restoration in
Medina Morningside, Medina Morningside First, Second and
Third Additions, Hennepin County, said improvements being to
the property abutting on Willow Drive, Bobolink Drive,
Morningside Drive, Elsinore Circle, and Maplewood Drive,
and have presented such plans and specifications to the City
Council for approval;
NOW, THEREOFRE, Be It Resolved by the City Council of
the City of Medina, Minnesota, as follows:
1) Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is
attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference,
are hereby approved;
2) The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted
in the official newspaper, and in Construction Bulletin,
an advertisement for bids upon the making of such
improvement under such approved plans and specifications
The advertisement shall specify the work to be done,
shall be published not less than twenty-one (21) days
before opening and consideration of the bids by the
Council and shall state that the bids will be received by the
clerk until 11:00 a.m. on August 20, 1981, at which
time the said bids will be publicly opened in the
Council chambers of the City Hall of the City of Medina,
by the City Clerk and McCombs/Knutson and Associates,
Inc., will be tabulated, and will be considered by the
City Council at 8:00 p.m. on September 1, 1981, in the

said council chambers. The advertisement shall further
state that no bids will be considered which have not
been sealed and filed with the Clerk and accompanied by
a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified
check, payable to the Clerk, for ten (10%) per cent of
the amount of such bid.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was
duly seconded by member Reiser and, upon vote being taken
thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Anderson, Raiser, Crosby, Scherer
and the following voted against same: none

Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
