CITY OF GREENCASTLE,INDIANA
A RESOLUTION AMENDING ENDING RESOLUTION 2008-26,A RESOLUTION AMENDING
RESOLUTION 2008-21,APPROVING FUNDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF IVY
TECH COMMUNITY COLLEGE
WHEREAS,the Common Council of the City of Greencastle passed Resolution 2008-26, a
Resolution Amending Resolution 2008-21, Approving Funds for the Construction of Ivy Tech
Community College; and
WHEREAS, the Citizens Advisory Commission for Industrial Development (CACFID)
passed Resolutions 2009-1 and 2008-2, similar Resolutions creating matching opportunities for
local businesses,industries and entities wishing to contribute to the success of the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE GREENCASTLE COMMON
COUNCIL,due to the sluggish response in the receipt of matching contributions and the wish to
successfully contribute through industrial development funds to the success of the Greencastle
Ivy Tech Community College, the Common Council and CACFID, through Resolution 2013-1,
wish to change the matching opportunities outlined in the previous resolutions and provide the
following:
a. The remaining pledged dollars be disbursed to Ivy Tech Greencastle in $60,000
increments over the next three(3)years.
b. These dollars shall be used exclusively to help transform three (3) Ivy Tech
classroom spaces into virtual learning,interacting-instruction classrooms.
e. The Business and Entrepreneurial Services Center (BES) will be encouraged to use
these spaces for their classroom offerings.
ci. Considering past matching efforts, the $180,000 in the virtual classroom investment,
and the outstanding pledges for 2013, a balance of $34,720 will remain of the
original $300,000 pledge. It is the intention of CACFIII and the Common Council
to leave these funds available for possible matching opportunities through December
of 2015.
This Resolution supersedes all previous Resui'uiiuns dealing with the approval funds fur
the construction and support or the Greencastle ivy Teen Community College. .
