RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE APPLICATION FOR AND THE ACCEPTANCE OF
INDIANA HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT-DISASTER RELIEF FUNDS FOR THE OWNER
OCCUPIED HOUSING REHABILITATION PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, The City of Greencastle applied for and received a Stellar Grant from
the State of Indiana which included as part of the grant proposal a request for a
Community Block Grant for an Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
Greencastle, Indiana that, pursuant to the authority vested in the Common
Council, after discussion and upon motion duly made and seconded and carried,
the City of Greencastle is hereby authorized to accept money in the form of a
0164 recoverable grant from the Community Development Block Grant Program-
Disaster Relief II, administered by Indiana Housing and Community Development
Authority (IHCDA) in an amount not to exceed Three Hundred Thousand and
00/100 Dollars ($300,000) according to the terms and conditions as more
particularly described in the Lien and Restrictive Covenant Agreement and Award
Agreement between IHCDA and the City, copy of which is attached hereto and
made a part hereof, marked as "Exhibit A".
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the following are hereby authorized, empowered
and directed to execute, acknowledge and deliver in the City's name and on its
behalf all applications, documents, covenants, binding real estate, deeds,
instruments or writings as are necessary and/or as appropriate to consummate
the recoverable grant transaction, as acceptable to IHCDA:
