RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GREENCASTLE,INDIANA SUPPORTING THE
DEVELOPMENT OF THE MILLER ASBURY APARTMENTS
WHEREAS, the Eastern Enlargement Historic District ("Neighborhood") within the City of
Greencastle,Indiana is a target area in need of revitalization;
WHEREAS,a neighborhood revitalization plan has been developed for the Neighborhood;
WHEREAS,the revitalization plan includes as a goal the production of affordable rental housing;
WHEREAS,the revitalization plan includes implementation measures;
WHEREAS, Milestone Ventures, Inc.'s ("Corporation")proposed development of Miller Asbury
Apartments supports the goals of the revitalization plan;
WHEREAS, the revitalization plan includes an assessment of the Neighborhood's existing
physical structures and infrastructure;and
WHEREAS,community input was utilized during development of the plan;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle, at
a duly called meeting at which a quorum of the members was present, that it hereby adopts the
neighborhood revitalization plan for the Eastern Enlargement Historic District of Greencastle,Indiana;and
40 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proposed development of Miller Asbury Apartments is
an effort by the Corporation to revitalize the target area.
PASSED AND RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle, Indiana this
