ADJOURNED MEETING
JUNE 14, 1977
1. FISCAL YEAR 1977 -78 BUDGET

City Council reviewed the proposed budget for fiscal year
1977 -78 and requested staff to make certain modifications for
consideration at the public hearing to be held June 21, 1977.
MODIFICATION OF FAU ROUTES
City Manager Koski presented background information, stating
new construction funds may become available through the Federal
government and to provide greater flexibility, it would be
advisable to amend the FAU route to add additional City streets.
Presently the only north /south routes are Rosemead Boulevard,
Baldwin Avenue, and Santa Anita. East /west routes are Las Tunas
Drive and Lower Azusa Road.
Staff recommends that the City amend the FAU routes to include
Encinita Avenue, Longden Avenue to south city boundary; Temple
City Boulevard, north city boundary to south city boundary; and
El Monte, north city boundary to south city boundary as north/
south routes; and Longden Avenue, east city boundary to west city
boundary; Broadway, Baldwin Avenue to west city boundary; Live Oak
Avenue, east city boundary to west city boundary;. and Olive Street,
El Monte Avenue to Rosemead Boulevard as east /west routes.
Councilman Tyrell moved to, adopt Resolution No. 77 -1638 A RESO-
LUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY APPROVING
THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY PORTION OF THE 1980 FUNCTIONAL USAGE
STUDY AND THE DESIGNATION OF FEDERAL -AID URBAN ROUTES IN SAID
CITY, seconded by Councilman Gilbertson and carried.
3, APPROVAL OF APPLICATION FOR FIREWORKS PERMIT
City Manager Koski presented an application for permit for fire-
works stand from Job's Daughters, stating the necessary fee and
deposit, certificate of insurance, and plot plan, which was approved
by the Planning Department, have been filed.
Councilman Gilbertson moved to approve, seconded by Councilman
Greenberg and carried.
4. ADJOURNMENT:
Meeting adjourned at 10;40 p.m. to the next regular meeting of the
City Council to be held Tuesday, June 21, 1977, 7:30 p.m. in the
Council Chamber of the City Hall.
