WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the governing body
of the City of Moab that it is in the best interests of the
City and to its mutual advantage to enter into an Agreement
pursuant to the Interlocal Cooperation Act (Title 11, Chapter
13 [Sections 11-13-1, et seq.] of the Utah Code Annotated,
1953, as amended) with the County of Grand for the purposes
of fostering certain economic development utilizing lands owned
by the City of Moab outside of the City limits in Grand County,
and
WHEREAS, the governing body of the City of Moab deems
it desirable to reduce said contract and understanding to writing
pursuant to the terms thereof, and in compliance with the Inter -
local Cooperation Act aforesaid,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of
Moab ratify and approve that certain amended Agreement between
the City of Moab and the County of Grand, dated the 9th day
of May, A.D. 1983, pertaining to the utilization of certain
lands owned by the City of Moab outside of the City limits
for purposed of economic development in Grand County, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Recorder
of the City of Moab be authorized to execute said amended Agree-
ment on behalf of the City of Moab.
PASSED BY MAJORITY VOTE at a meeting of the Moab
City Council held on the 9th day of May, A.D. 1983.
