AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM PARTNERSHIP
FOR A DRUG FREE WAYNE COUNTY
WHEREAS, the Partnership for a Drug Free Wayne County has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the Richmond Police Department desires to submit a grant application for purchasing needed radio and safety equipment for the SWAT Team
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
The Richmond Police Department is hereby authorized to submit a grant application for purchasing needed radio and safety equipment for the SWAT Team.
The Richmond Police Department is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00)
Said funds, if awarded to the Richmond Police Department, shall be appropriated to purchase needed radio and safety equipment for the SWAT Team.
Passed and adopted this 4th day of December, 2000, by the Common Council for the City of Richmond, Indiana.
