CALL TO ORDER
The January 29, 2010, "Brown Bag" Work Session was convened at 12:02 P.M. by Mayor
John Landwehr.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present:
Present: Carroll, Ferguson (arrived at 12:04 P.M.), Harvey, Klindt, Koon, Medin
(left at 12:30 P.M.), Scrivner, and Penfold
Absent: Pope and Struemph
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
*Councilman Kenneth Ferguson arrived at this point in the meeting (12:04 P.M.)
UPCOMING MEETINGS & EVENTS:
Mayor John Landwehr indicated that a February 8 Council Work session should be added,
and that staff would determine before Monday night whether that meeting needs to be held
or not. Councilman Kenneth Ferguson was asked to convene the first meeting of the
Council Annexation Committee so they can elect officers and begin discussing annexation
issues.
BILLS:
2009 -128 (Zoning Text Amendments) - Mayor John Landwehr asked Staff to be prepared
to share some recent examples of how this ordinance would be applied.
2009 -117 (trash service for indigent citizens) - Councilman Ron Medin stated he plans
to remove this from the Informal Calendar and offer a substitute bill Monday night.
2009 -126 (required sidewalk master plan) - A discussion was held regarding how the
Council would choose to address any changes to the master plan as a result of the input
received at the two public forums on the issue.

2009 -117 (indigent trash service) - City Counselor Nathan Nickolaus explained the
substitute bill and answered questions.
The approval of January 19, 2010 Closed Session minutes will be added to the agenda
before distribution to the public following the Brown Bag meeting.
