CALL TO ORDER
The City Council retreat of Saturday, February 6, 2010, was convened at 8:08 A.M. by
Mayor John Landwehr.
ROLL CALL
The following Council Members were present:
Present: *Carroll, Ferguson, Harvey, Klindt, Koon, Medin, Penfold, Pope,
Scrivner and Struemph
Absent: None
A quorum was present.
TOPIC OF DISCUSSION
Mayor Landwehr turned the meeting over to City Administrator Steve Rasmussen who
explained the schedule for the day which would include a morning break, brunch break, and
an afternoon break before the session adjourns at 2:00 P.M.
Mr. Rasmussen introduced Steve Veile of Communique who will be performing a City survey
in the near future, and then introduced Rita Starnes, the facilitator for the retreat.
Ms. Starnes explained the "rules of the day" and answered questions about the format
before beginning the discussion.
City Administrator Steve Rasmussen gave a slide presentation on activities City staff are
currently performing to address priorities previously established by the Council, and
answered questions asked by the Council.
*Councilwoman Carrie Carroll was called away from the meeting at 9:35 A.M. and returned
at 11:25 A.M.
Finance Director Steve Schlueter gave a brief overview of the City's finances and answered
questions asked by the Mayor and City Council.
The Council was then asked to discuss priorities of both the Council and the staff. Each
priority was discussed in several different ways to determine which appeared to be the most
important to the Council.

At the conclusion of all discussions, Ms. Starnes stated she would be sending the Council
an itemized list of the priorities ranked in the order of importance established by the Council.
ADJOURNMENT
The retreat was adjourned at 1:45 P.M.
