A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING AN AGREEMENT
BETWEEN .CURBSIDE, INC. AND- THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD FOR THE BLOCK GRANT USED OIL
RECYCLING PROGRAM, SIXTH CYCLE FOR
RESIDENTIAL USED OIL CURBSIDE PROGRAM,
PERIOD 2000-2003.
WHEREAS, the California Oil Recycling Enhancement Act mandates
that the California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB) provides fund to
cities and counties for establishing local collection programs that will encourage
residents to recycle or legally dispose of used oil. The Act also. mandates that .the
CIWMB use designated funds for specified activities that will encourage the legal
disposal.of used oil.
WHEREAS,. at the meeting of May 2, 2000, the Lynwood City Council,
approved an application to the CIWMB fora 2000-2003 Used Oil Recycling Block
Grant and authorized the City Manager or his designee to sign needed grant documents,
through Resolution No. 2000.72.
WHEREAS, Curbside, Inc., has been providing residential curbside used
oil pickup services for the City of Lynwood.
WHEREAS; staff request an agreement between Curbside, Inc., and the
City of Lynwood, ,for the Used. Oil Recycling Program to continue curbside pick=up
services and prepare reports required by CIWMB: ,

NOW, THEREFORE,. the City Council of the'City of Lynwood, does,
hereby, find, determine and resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood authorize the
City Manager and City Attorney to enter into an agreement between Curbside, Inc. and
the City of Lynwood for the Used Oil Recycling .Block Grant Curbside Pick-up
Program through the period of 2000-2003.
SECTION 2. That this resolution shall take affect immediately upon its
adoption. ' _
