RESOLUTION NO. 2000.160
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD APPROVING THE AMENDMENT TO
THE SERVICE CONTRACT AGREEMENT WITH
COMMUTER BUS LINES FOR THE LYNWOOD FIXED
ROUTE TROLLEY SYSTEM AND THE BLUE LINE
SHUTTLE -BUS, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE THE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS
WHEREAS, on October 15, 1986; the City of Lynwood (City) entered into an agreement
with Commuter Bus Lines (Contractor) which set forth the terms and conditions for the services of
the Lynwood Fixed Route Trolley System; and
WHEREAS, said agreement was amended to included the service of the Blue Line Shuttle
Bus; and
WHEREAS, said contract will. terminate on, September 30, 2000 through subsequent
contract amendments and temporary extensions; and
WHEREAS, City is satisfied with the services provided by Contractor and wishes to
extend said service.agreement. -.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
LYNWOOD AS FOLLOWS: ,
Section 1. The City Council approves the extension of the service contract with Commuter
Bus Lines for the Lynwood Fixed Route Trolley System for afive-year period, which shall
terminate on September 30, 2005.
Section 2. The City Council approves the extension of the service contract with Commuter
Bus Lines for the Blue Line Shuttle Bus to June 30, 2002, provided that funds are available from
the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
Section 3. -The Mayor is authorized to execute the amendment to the service contract
agreement. ,~
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
