A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF LYNWOOD IN SUPPORT OF THE
SAMALITAN CHRISTIAN CHILDREN'S FUND, INCORPORATED, AS A NON-
PROFIT ORGANIZATION FOR THE PURPOSES OF GIVING HOPE TO HIV/AIDS
ORPHANS OF UGANDA
WHEREAS, the Lynwood City Council acknowledges that Samalitan Christian
.Children's Fund, Incorporated is an organization that realizes the enormity of the
HIV/AIDS problem and the threat it poses to humanity; and.
WHEREAS, the Lynwood City Council also acknowledges that Samalitan
Christian Children's Fund Incorporated is dedicated to giving children hope with a
universal approach to reach all HIV/AIDS orphans without restriction; and
WHEREAS, the 5amalitan Christian Children's Fund, Incorporated, was
organized by Ugandans who have been personally touched by the HN/AIDS epidemic; .,
and
WHEREAS, the Lynwood City Council desires to help Samalitan Christian
Children's Fund, Incorporated, anon-profit organization by providing moral support,
endorsements, introductions and/or financial support, and networking opportunities;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE,
DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council approves the adoption and executive
of this resolution and authorizes the Mayor to execute said resolution on behalf of the
City of Lynwood.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of
October, 2000.
