A RESOLUTION OF THE. CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF _
LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE INFORMAL BID FOR THE ~
T SECURITY ALARM SYSTEM IN THE PUBLIC WORKS YARD'

'~ . ~ ~ ~ WHEREAS, the' vehicle and "equipment replacement program cost was 1.6 million
' dollars; and ,
WHEREAS, staff has. determined that the existing alarm system in the Public
` ~ Works Yard needs to Ybe upgraded; and ~ f
WHEREAS, the purchasing of the security alarm and monitoring system can
be~done more economically and expeditiously using an informal bid process to acquire it;• and . .
.WHEREAS, .Section 6-3,:13 of the Lynwood Municipal Code allows City Council
. to authorize said acquisition through informal.bids by a 4/5 vote..,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City 'Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,:
. ~ proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section L That staff is authorized to acquire needed security~alarm system
through an informal. bid procedure.
• Section 2. This resolution shall` go -into effect immediately upon its .adoption. ( • ,
