PUBLIC PURPOSES A PORTION OF THE FIRST ALLEY WEST OF ATLANTIC AVENUE, NORTH OF AGNES AVENUE AS SHOWN ON TRACT MAP NO. 8242 IN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AS PER MAP RECORDED IN BOOK 115, PAGES 55-56 OF MAPS IN THE ..OFFICE OF THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY RECORDER WHEREAS, the. City Council of the City of Lynwood did, on the 3rd day of October, 2000, adopted Resolution No.2000-171, declaring its intention to vacate a portion of the first alley west of Atlantic Avenue, north of Agnes Avenue, as hereinafter described; and WHEREAS; notices of said vacation have been published and posted in the time, form, and manner required by law; and WHEREAS, a public hearing on the matter was held on the 7th day of November, 2000, as prescribed by law. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lynwood as follows: Section 1. That the following described alley easement is unnecessary for present ;.,_ or prospective public use, and that the public interest, necessity and convenience require that the City Council of said City hereby order the vacation and abandonment of said alley easement. That portion of the first alley west of Atlantic Avenue bounded northerly by the extension of the northerly line of Lots 195, 196, 197 and 198; and southerly by the northerly right-of--way line of Agnes Avenue (formerly Broadway Avenue), as shown on Map of Tract No. 8242, in the -City of Lynwood, County of Los Angeles, State of California, Miscellaneous Records Book 115, Pages 53-56 of maps in the office of the~Los Angeles County Recorder. Section 2. The City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby determine that the public convenience and necessity require that,an easement be retained for construction and maintenance of utility lines within the limits of alley vacation as described in Section 1. Section 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Lynwood shall cause a certified copy of said order to be recorded in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County. Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
