A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AMENDING THE CLASSIFICATION PLAN, MANAGEMENT AND GENERAL
EMPLOYEES' SALARY SCHEDULE AND AUTHORIZING THE
RECLASSIFICATION OF IDENTIFIED INCUMBENTS
WHEREAS, Personnel Rules and Regulations, Rule IV, Section 4 Reclassification,
provides for an employee to be allocated to a more appropriate class when the duties of
which have changed materially as to necessitate reclassifications; and
f WHEREAS, the City Council has identified the need to reclassify identified
. incumbents to a more appropriate class; and
WHEREAS, certain necessary and vital daily functions will be carried out on
behalf of the individual departments as a result in making this change; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has adopted a salary
resolution with salary schedules including Management and General salary schedules;
and
WHEREAS, the City has identified a need to upgrade salary levels of identified
positions; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to make these changes.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does find and
resolve as follows:
Section 1. Reclassify incumbent Oretha Williams to Project Manager (47M)
effective December 11, 2000.
Section 2. Reclassify incumbent Leo Rodriguez to Events Coordinator (40M)
effective December 11, 2000.
Section 3. -Amend the Management Salary Schedule for the position of
Recreation Superintendent from salary leve141M to 45M effective December 11, 2000.
Section 4. Amend the General Employees' Salary Schedule for the position
of Aquatics Supervisor, Recreation Facility and. Program Supervisor, and Sr.
Services Supervisor. from the salary range of 29G to 34G effective December 1 1, 2000.
Section 5. Reallocate Assistant City Manager to the position of Assistant City
Manager/Director of Public Safety (67M)
Section 6. Amend the Classification Plan and Management Salary Schedule to
include the position title of Special Assistant/Manager of City Council Affairs (56M) and
reclassify incumbent Carol DeJesus effective December 11, 2000.
Section 7. Amend the Classification Plan and Management Salary Schedule_to
include the position title of Facility Maintenance Manager (47M) and reclassify
incumbent Rudolph Brown effective December 11, 2000.
Section 8. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 4th day of December 2000.
