BEACH), AGNES STREET (FROM LONGVALE TO LONG BEACH)
- F ~ GERWRUDE DRIVE (FROM AGNES TO LUGO) AND SHIRLEY AVENUE.
• • ~ ~ {FROM HARRIS TO ATLANTIC) STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT,
-• ~ PROJECT.NUMBER 5-5216, AND AU'd'HORIZING THE MAYOR TO .
' ~ - EXECUTE' THE AGREEMENT

• WHEREAS; the Virginia Street, Agnes Street, Gertrude ~ Drive .and, Shirley
Avenue, Street Improvement Project, Project'No. 5-52-16 `is scheduled for completion
during the FY 2000-2001; and `` ~ ~ ~ '
WHEREAS,.. the Virginia Street, Agnes ..Street, Gertrude Drive and Shirley
Avenue, Street Improvement Project is funded by Community Development Block Grant
funds; and - -

• WHEREAS, the bid opening was held on November 21, 2000, and E. C:
Construction, was the lowest responsible bidder at $270;252.00; and. -
.. ~ WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that this contractor has the necessary
- experience for this type of project. -
NOW WHEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find, '
~;~~ .proclaim, order and resolve. as follows:
Section 1. That the contract for .the Virginia Street, Agnes Street, Gertrude .
Drive, and Shirley Avenue, Street.Improvement Project,. Project Number 5-5216 be
awarded to E. G, Construction, for its low bid of $270;252.00
Section 2.. That the Mayor is hereby authorized •to ' execute ~ the agreement ,
- between the City of Lynwood and E. C. Construction.. - '
` Section~3. This resolution shall take effect immediately~upon its adoption.
