RESOLUTION NO. 09 -4592
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING HOLIDAYS FOR FISCAL YEAR
2009 -2010
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE
AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The twelve (12) holidays established for the City of Temple City for fiscal year 2009-
2010 are as follows:
Labor Day (Monday, September 7, 2009)
Columbus Day (Monday, October 12, 2009)
Veteran's Day (Wednesday, November 11, 2009)
Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 26, 2009)
Christmas Eve (Thursday, December 24, 2009)
New Years Eve (Thursday, December 31, 2009)
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (Monday, January 18, 2010)
Presidents' Day (Monday, February 15, 2010)
Cesar Chavez Day (Wednesday, March 31, 2010)
Memorial Day (Monday, May 31, 2010), and
Two (2) floating holidays to be used as each employee chooses.
SECTION 2. If a holiday observed by the City of Temple City falls on an employee's normal day off,
that employee will be allotted an ten (10) hour floating holiday which may be taken only during or after the pay
period of that holiday in the 2009 -2010 fiscal year.
SECTION 3. All floating holidays are to be taken by each employee as they choose, in compliance
with the City's Personnel Rules and Regulations pertaining to use of vacation. Such holidays may not be
used or carried over into the next fiscal year starting July 1, 2010.
. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED on this 17th day of February, 2009.

and adopted by the City Council of the City of Temple City at a regular meeting held on the 17th day of
February 2009, by the following vote:

NOES: Councilmember -None
ABSENT: Councilmember -Capra
