HomeMy Public PortalAbout05-14-2013 917 Belmont St Petition for Historic Landmark_201305031148143546RECEIVE() x013 HISTORICAL COMMISSION WATERTOWN, MP, PETITION FOR HISTORIC LANDMARK DESIGNATION Pursuant to the Watertown Ordinances, Title XV, Chapter 156 (Historic Landmarks), and in accordance with an Agreement between the Walk H me and School ("Walker"), and the Watertown Historical Commission, dated .2 /,3 (the "Agreement"),Walker petitions the Waterto His orical Commission to designate the building known as the "Orchard House" as a Historic Landmark. The specifics of this Petition are as follows: 1. The Orchard House consists of Section 1 of a building originally consisting of seven sections as shown on the plan of the building attached to this Petition and labeled "A." Walker is the owner ofthe Orchard House. 2. Pursuant to paragraph 3 of the Agreement, upon submission of a completed petition to the Watertown Historical Commission, for Historic Landmark designation of the Orchard House, the Historical Commission shall promptly notify the Inspector of Buildings that a demolition permit may be issued for all the sections of the Building with the exception of Section 1 (the Orchard House) as shown on Exhibit A. 3. The Historic Landmark designation shall apply to the Orchard House, as shown on Exhibit B, and referred to on Exhibit B as "ORIGINAL STRUCTURE, CIRCA, 1840, and including all parts of the Original Structure as depicted on Exhibit B, and shall not apply to any other land or structures. 4. The plan of the Orchard House (Exhibit B) may be filed with the Middlesex Registry of Deeds in accordance with paragraph 1 of the Agreement, and pursuant to Section 3(d) of the Watertown Historic Landmarks Ordinance.
