RESOLUTION SETTING PUBLIC HEARING
TO DETERMINE THE NEED FOR A
HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
TO FUNCTION IN THE CITY OF MEDINA
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Housing and Redevelopment Act, Minnesota
Statutes Section 462.411, et seq., creates a Housing and Redevel-
opment Authority in each municipality within the state and provides
that such authority shall not transact any business or exercise
any powers until the governing body of the municipality deter-
mines by resolution the need for a Housing and Redevelopment
Authority to function within the municipality; and
WHEREAS, interest has been expressed within the City of
Medina for activation of a Housing and Redevelopment Authority;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Medina as follows:
1. A public hearing shall be held by the City Council on
the 6th day of July, 1982, at 8:00 p.m. at the Medina City Hall
in Hamel to consider whether there is a need for a Housing and
Redevelopment Authority to function in the City of Medina.
2. the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of
such public hearing in the official newspaper of the City in the
manner provided by law.
