A RESOLUTION OF 'THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, ADOPTING
THE PLANS, CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND WORKING DETAILS FOR THE
.SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR
DESIGNEE TO APPROPRIATE AND TRANSFER $192,000 OF UNAPPROPRIATED
PROPOSITION 1 B FUNDS TO THE NEW PEDESTRIAN FACILITY (SIDEWALK)
.IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, 'FY 2009-2010 AND AUTHORIZING THE DEPARTMENT
OF°PUBLIC WORKS ENGINEERING STAFF TO SOLICIT BIDS
WHEREAS, the plans, contract documents and working details for the new
Pedestrian Facility {Sidewalk) Improvement Project, FY 2009-2010 are complete and
ready for the City Council of the City of Lynwood's review, consideration and adoption;

WHEREAS, the total estimated project cost including construction, administration
and ;inspection for said project is $192,000; and
WHEREAS, staff has identified Proposition 1 B funds that are available for this
project; and
WHEREAS, the Department of .Public Works of the City of Lynwood has
determined that said project is in accordance with the California Environmental Quality
Act (CEQA) and is categorically exempt .pursuant to section 15301 (C) of the CEQA
guidelines pertaining to statutory exemption; and
WHEREAS, the project is ready to be advertised for the solicitation of bids.

NOW, THEREFORE; THE CITY.000NCIL OF THE`CITY`;OF_L-YNWO'OD .DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE'AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. .That the City Council approves the use of Proposition 1 B for the
'Pedestrian Facility .(sidewalk) Improvement :Project and authorizes the City Manager or
designee to appropriate .and transfer $192,000 of unappropriated Proposition 1 B funds
to ;the New Pedestrian 'Facility (Sidewalk) Improvement Project.
Section 2:~ That the Sidewalk .Improvement Project,'- F.Y 2009-2010 are in
conformance with the .)California~'~ Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Wand are
categorically exempt. ''
Section 3. -The 'Department of Public Works of the City of Lynwood has
determined that said..project is in accordance with the California Environmental Quality
Act (CEQA} and is categorically exempt pursuant to section 1.5301 (C) of the CEQA
guidelines .pertaining .to statutory exemption.
.Section 4. That the City Council of the .City of Lynwood adopts the Plans,
Contract Documents and Working Details for the new Sidewalk Improvement .Project,
FY 2009-2010.
Section 5. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood authorizes the
solicitation of bids for the Sidewalk Improvement Project.
Section ~6. That the City :Manager or designee is authorized to transfer
$192,000 from unappropriated Proposition 1 B Funds to the New Sidewalk improvement
'Project, FY 2009-2010.
Section 7. This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its acoption.
Section 8. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
