A RESOLUTION OF THE:CITY COUNCIL OF THE, CITY OF
. LYNWOOD APPROVING THE DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS
.` • .. ENTERPRISE PROGRAM (DBE) AND THE DBE GOAL FOR

` FEDERALFISGAL•YEAR 2000-20.01
~~'~, WHEREAS, Part 26 of Title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations requires each
local .agency that receives Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) funds to implement a
Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program (DBE); ~ . •
WHEREAS, said regulations also requires that a DBE annual goal be adopted by ,
the -local agency; and ~ ~ : ,
WHEREAS, the '.Citty ofLynwood receives FHWA funds for its street-
:.. • ' '~~ improvement projects, and therefore is subject to said requirements; and •
-WHEREAS; on October 3, 2000; City Councih adopted Resolution 2000-I62
approving the. draft DBE Program and the annual DBE.goal for the Federal fiscal year 2000--
2001; and - .. , - r.

WHEREAS, the DBE Goal eras published and the City has completed -the 4~-day
comment period; and. .
' WHEREAS., comments received from Caltrans has .been incorporated into' the
' .final DBE Program and Goal. '. .
i~ - NOW, .THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED by the" City~Council of the City of
Lynwood as, follows: ~ ~ .

Section- 1: That the City Council' approves- the attached final DBE Program and
, the DBE goal for the Federal fiscal year 2000-2001.
Section 2: This resolution shall take.effect rimaediately upon its`adoption.
