A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD APPROVING THE EXTENSION OF THE REFUSE
COLLECTION SERVICES CONTRACT WITH NATIONWIDE
ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES
WHEREAS, the refuge collection services contract with Nationwide
Environmental Services (NES) will expire on March 31, 2001; and
WHEREAS, said contract provides for the hauling and disposal of solid waste
material collected at the City's public works; and
WHEREAS, staff has received request from NES to extend said contract and
allow an annual contract price adJustment for the cost of living increase; and
WHEREAS, staff has reviewed said request and found that the request is
reasonable, and
WHEREAS, staff has also found that the contractor's performance has been
excellent and met all contract requirements
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Lynwood as follows:
Section 1 That the City Council approves the extension of the refuge collection
services contract with Nationwide Environmental Services, which will terminate on December
31, 2002.
Section 2. That the contract price for the period from April 1, 2001 through
December 31, 2001, will be $137 per btn pull plus dump fees. Begmmng on January 1, 2002,
said rate will be adJusted using the average consumer price index for the year 2001
Section 3. That the Mayor is authorized to execute the contract amendment.
Section 4 This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
