A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD APPROVING THE LYNWOOD TEEN SQUARE
PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS
DESIGNEE TO APPROPRIATE AND TRANSFER $205,758 45 OF
UNAPPROPRIATED GENERAL FUND TO THE PROJECT
~~ ~~ WHEREAS, because of the close proximity of the Lynwood Youth Center, the City
Park and Hosler Middle School, certain vehicular/ pedestrian traffic conflicts have been
observed, and
WHEREAS, the Lynwood City Council wishes to improve the Traffic safety and
beautify said area; and
WHEREAS, staff is proposing the implementation of the Lynwood Teen Square,
which would result in he improvement of traffic safety and beautification of said area, and
WHEREAS, this project has been estimated to cost $700,000.
WHEREAS, staff has identified $205,758 45 of unappropriated General ,Funds that
can be appropriated to this project.
WHEREAS, staff has submitted a grant to the Metropolitan Transit Authority
(MTA) for the remainder of the needed funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclaim, order and resolve as follows.
.Section 1 That the Crty Council approves the implementation of the Lynwood
Teen Square Project.
Section 2 That the City Manager or his designee is .hereby authorized to make the
following fund appropriation arid transfer:

Section 3. 'This resolution shall take effect immediately upon rts adoption.
