A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD APPROVING THE WATER MAIN UPGRADE
PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS
DESIGNEE TO APPROPRIATE AND TRANSFER $1,700,000.00 OF
UNAPPROPRIATED WATER FUND TO THE WATER MAIN
UPGRADE PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City Water Master Plan recommends the upgrade of certain
water lines in the City Water System; and
WHEREAS, said water main upgrades need to be implemented to coincide with a
number of on-going street improvement projects; and
WHEREAS, said upgrades would improve the water system capacity and
distribution efficiency, and has been estimated to cost $1,700,000; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to provide Lynwood residents with quality
water services; and
WHEREAS, staff has identify available funds that can be used for these water
main upgrades.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
~~ Section 1. That the City Council approves the Water Main Upgrade Project.
Section 2. That the City Manager or his designee is hereby authorized to make the
following fund appropriation and transfer:

$1,700,000:00
Water Main Upgrade Project
$1,700,000.00
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
