CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO. 8,2 - B4
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A
COMMUNITY NEWSLETTER
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes that the schools,
churches, businesses, industries, lakes, streams, lands and
its citizens are its most valuable resources; and
WHEREAS, it is a benefit to the City to disseminate in-
formation regarding these valuable resources;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City. Council of the
City of Medina, as follows:
1. The City Clerk is hereby directed to prepare, or to
have prepared under the direction of the City Clerk,
news and information regarding the resources and
advantages of the City of Medina to be distributed,
free of charge, to each household within the City,
not less than 12 times annually;
2. The City, through adoption of this resolution, hereby
contracts with Sandra Vrooman, dba The Medina Journal,
to publish such news and information on the resources
and advantages of the City of Medina not less than 12
times annually for a fee of $250.00 for each publica-
tion, said publication to consist of not less than 2
pages measuring 8 1/2 inches by 11 inches;
3. That upon the signing of this resolution by the Mayor,
the City Clerk, and the said Sandra Vrooman, this
resolution shall constitute a contract between the
parties which is cancelable upon 30 days notice by
either party.
