Flynn,Town Clerk/Chief Election Officer Je Subject Re-Precincting Date:June 3,2011 Attached please find foryour review and information the following materials to be utilized in the setting of Precinct Boundaries effective January 1,2012 as result of the recent 2010 Federal Census: • A map titled"DRAFT"which shows existing Precinct Boundaries(black outline)and the proposed changes(Color-purple-Pcts. 11/12 and lavender-Pcts.6/9); • A final map based on the vote of the Election Commission dated May 17,2011 to recommend the map to the Honorable Town Council for action. • Official Legal Description for each Precinct; • Official Block Listing(for each Precinct),and; • A Draft Resolution reflecting the vote of the Honorable Town Council. The proposed action would reflect the following changes: Precinct 11:King Street is presently splint between Pcts. 11 and 12. Effective January 1,2012 all of King Street would be in Precinct 11; Precincts 9/10:Presently French Street, Homer Street and Wollitzer Lane are in Precinct 10. Effective January 1,2012 those streets would be moved to Precinct 9,and; Precincts 6/9:Presently Dana Terrace,#4-#35-Fayette Street and Florence Terrace are in Precinct 6.Effective January 1,2012 those streets would be moved to Precinct 9. With the approval of the Honorable Town Council the submission packet would be forwarded to Local Election Districts Review Commission(LEDRC)for its review and approval and would be effective January 1,2012. I am requesting your assistance in placing this item on the agenda of the Honorable Town Council meeting dated June 14,2011. If you have any questions,please contact me.
