A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL~OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT
FUNDS FOR THE URBAN RECREATIONAL AND CULTURAL
CENTERS PROGRAM (URCC) AND REQUESTING THE PROJECT
• NOMINATION FROM THE LEGISLATURE
f--~~ WHEREAS,. the State Park Bond Act of 2000 provides •local agencies with grant .
`~ ?~~ funds under various grant programs; and
,.,
WHEREAS, the Urban Recreational and Cultural Centers Program (URCC.)
~- provides funds for the development or rehabilitation of real property °consistmg of urban
recreational or cultural centers, museums, and facilities for wildlife education or environmental
,' education, and -
' WHEREAS, sand Program requires local agencies' projects be nominated by a
member of the Legislature; and
WHEREAS, staff has identified certain projects listed in Attachment "A" that can
be submitted for these grant funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE• IT RESOLVED by the Crty Council of the City of
,Lynwood as follows:
Section 1: That the. City Council approves the application of projects fisted in
Attachment "A" for the Urban Recreational and Cultural Centers Program.
Section 2. That the City Council requests Assemblyman Carl Washington's
nomination of said projects.

Section 3 This resolution shall take effect immediately upon rts adoption.
