RESOLUTION NO. 09 -4622
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY ADOPTING THE SEWER SYSTEM MANAGEMENT PLAN
(SSMP)
WHEREAS, the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) adopted Statewide General
Waste Discharge Requirements (GWDR) for publicly owned sanitary sewer systems requiring the
development and implementation of a system- specific local Sewer System Management Plan with eleven
separate elements that documents a comprehensive program for sewer system operation, maintenance
and repair; and
WHEREAS, the City of Temple City finds that the Sewer System Management Plan has been
completed and must be approved before August 2, 2009; and
WHEREAS, the Sewer System Management Plan shall be periodically reviewed at least once
every five years, and that the City shall make any amendments or changes to its Plan; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Temple City hereby resolves as follows:
SECTION 1. Approves the Sewer System Management Plan in accordance with State Water
Resources Control Board Order No. 2006 -0003 Statewide General Waste Discharge
Requirements (GWDR) for Sanitary Sewer Systems.
SECTION 2. Authorizes the Interim City Manager to certify the completion of the SSMP to the
State Water Resources Control Board.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution.
