A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD REJECTING ALL BIDS
SUBMITTED FOR THE CITYWIDE CROSSWALK
`UPGRADE PROJECT, PROJECT 5-5245, AND
AUTHORIZING THE SOLICITATION OF NEW BIDS
WHEREAS, the Citywide Crosswalk Upgrade Project, Project 5-5245, is scheduled for
completion during the FY 2001-2002; and
WHEREAS, said project is funded ~by the Federal Hazard Elimination System Grant
(HES), and
WHEREAS, the bid opening was held on August 20, 2001, and three bids were received
at $64,655.20, $99,935.00 and $155,828 00; and
WHEREAS, the lowest bidder of $64,655.20 had inadvertently made a substantial error
in its bid; and
WHEREAS, staff has determined that it is in the City's best interest to reject all bids and
to solicit new ones for the project.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclaim, order and resolve as follows.
Section 1 That the Crty rejects all bids received for the Citywide Crosswalk
Upgrade Project, Project 5-5245.
Section 2. That staff is authorized to re-advertise the project and solicit new bids.
Section 3 This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
