RESOLUTION NO. 2001.094
A RESOLUTION OF THE LYNWOOD CITY COUNCIL
- . - AUTHORIZING A PUBLIC"HEARING RELATIVE
- TO THE SEPARATION. OF ST. FRANCIS HOSPITAL
FROM CATHOLIC HEALTH CARE WEST TO THE
~- DAUGHTERS OF CHARITY HEALTH SYSTEM

- WHEREAS, The City of Lynwood has been approached by the California
Statewide Communities Development Authority ("Authority") informing the Cit

'-- of the desire of St. Francs Hospital to separate from Catholic Health Care West
to the Daughters of Charity Health System, and
WHEREAS, The City of Lynwood 'has also been asked by the Authority to
hold a public hearing approving the issuance of the Bonds by the Authority
because the faci6ities are located within the territorial limits of the City of
Lynwood, and

WHEREAS, The Authority has informed t'he City of Lynwood that the City
nor its residents will incur any obligation to repay the bonds issued by this
transaction, and
WHEREAS, According to Section 147(f) of the Internal Revenue Code of
1.986, afourteen-day .notice is required for the above-mentioned public hearing.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY CO;UNLIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FEND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS.
Section 1. The City Manager orhis designee is authorized. to -carry out
any necessary transactions as so ordered by this resolution
- Section 2. That the City Council authorizes a public hearing date to be
set for October 2, 2001 relative to the separation of St. Francis Hospital `
from Catholic Health Care West to the Daughters of Charity Health
System. ,
Section 3 This resolution s-hall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
