AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 1997 -20 ESTABLISHING A
SPECIAL NON - REVERTING CAPITAL FUND FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF
PARKS AND RECREATION
WHEREAS, the City established a non - reverting capital fund for the Department of Parks
and Recreation under Ordinance 1997 -20;
WHEREAS, the original ordinance limited the amount that could be deposited in the account
to $5000.00, and the Park Board wishes to increase that amount to $30,000;
NOW THEREFORE be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle that
it hereby amends Ordinance 1997 -20, Section 2 to read as follows:
The non - reverting capital fund shall be funded from monies and fees procured from the
operation of the Greencastle Aquatics Center, concession stands and other fees generated
from Park related projects, in an amount as determined by the Park Board, not to exceed
$30,000 which shall be taken from the year end cash balance and placed in the non - reverting
capital fund.
All other terms and conditions contained in Ordinance 1997 -20 shall remain in full force and effect.
This Ordinance shall have full force and effect upon passage of the Greencastle Common
Council and its approval by the Mayor.
